Like a crow’s nest, the Buron de Niercombe overlooks the valley of the Cère 1,420 meters below. Its construction, with two superimposed vaults, makes it a rarity. It was restored in keeping with ancestral techniques but given a contemporary décor. Each element has been designed especially for this place, such as the table base made from beech stumps from the nearby forest. The candlelight and fireplace bring the stones to life. A hot shower followed by delicious grilled meats is the best reward for a long walk.
This buron is ideal for solitary travellers or couples, although it can provide more Spartan accommodations for up to six people.
Located high on the mountain, you will need to hike 4kms through a beech forest, to reach the nearest road. Arrivals and departures are provided in a 4x4.
